Happy weekend, friends! I hope everyone has had a good week. Here in Scotland, restrictions have started lifting and I’ve been cautiously getting back into the swing of things.
Met a friend for drinks at one of my favorite cocktail bars in Edinburgh, Hey Palu. If you like Italian-inspired aperitivo type drinks, you’ll love it here. They make THE BEST amaretto sour I’ve ever tasted, and a wonderful cocktail with Amaro, dry Prosecco and a wee float of sorbet that’s just perfect on a hot summer day without being too sweet or cloying.
We had to book and they’re prudently not allowing parties of larger than 4 at the moment, tables were several meters apart, but most importantly…the cocktails were still as delicious as I remembered from early in the year!
My husband and I finally got much-needed haircuts from the wonderful Robbie at Roku Salon. Also, of course, had my sad roots and color touched up. It consistently amazes me how ridiculously good I feel about myself after leaving the salon, especially after all these months!
