Hi folks, I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe, especially my friends and loved ones back in the States.

Currently on my reading list is “Americanah” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. A novel about a young woman from Nigeria who comes to America to attend university, it features both powerful political statements and a journey to self-realization. I read her book “We Should All Be Feminists” a few years ago and highly recommend it as well.

My husband and I have really been enjoying trying food delivery from some of the nicer restaurants in Edinburgh, and it’s been a bright light for us during lockdown since even though we both love to cook, we both really appreciate great food and honestly miss going out to eat a few times a month.

This Saturday we’ll be getting a delivery from Aizle, which is one of our favorites. The same people that own Aizle also own Noto, which we personally found kind of disappointing, but I did have an incredible chocolate miso hazelnut dessert that will be part of our delivered menu.

Have a great weekend everyone!
